The weekend of the 2 and 3 December, the Cité de l’Automobile joins forces with the French Red Cross, the Secours Populaire and the Secours Catholique – Réseau Caritas, for the 16th edition of our annual toy drive. Promoting the values of solidarity and encouraging the spirit of sharing, this operation allows children to discover the region’s industrial heritage through the Cité de l’Automobile, but also raises awareness and understanding of charity work.

Over the course of this weekend, each visitor bringing a new toy or book, or a second-hand toy or book in good condition will benefit from free admission to the Cité de l’Automobile. All of the toys collected will then be distributed to children from disadvantaged backgrounds throughout the month of December. Visitors coming without a toy can also benefit from the reduced rate.

On-site, numerous activities and events are on offer for visitors, thanks to the involvement of dancers and musicians from the Mulhouse Conservatory, a partner in the event. Almost 50 hours of dance and music performances can be enjoyed in 5 specially designated spaces throughout the museum, allowing the public to enjoy the arts against the backdrop of some of the collection’s most stunning cars.
